August 22

Suspicious – South Danielson Road and West Bench View Lane Othello

Report of an unknown vehicle parked at the location. The responsible advised it was visiting a family member.

Agency Assist – South Highway 17 near milepost 34 Othello

Report of a single vehicle roll over collision near the location. Deputies observed the vehicle off the roadway and remained on scene until WSP arrived.

Suspicious – North Paha-Packard Road Ritzville

Report of a suspicious subject wearing all black walking southbound from the location. Deputies found a tractor trailer parked on the off-ramp with no unusual activity occurring in the area.

Agency Assist – South Highway 395 near milepost 71 Lind

WSP requested assistance in slowing traffic down while they searched for a wrong way driver on Highway 395. Deputies slowed traffic as requested. WSP advised they weren’t able to locate the wrong way driver.

Suspicious – 700 block South Sara Lane Othello

Complainant reported juveniles running around her vehicles near the location. Responsible advised of a family gathering with juveniles playing in area.

Suspicious – South Longmeier Road and East Lee Road Lind

Report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the intersection. Deputies located the vehicle traveling on highway 26. When the vehicle was stopped, the driver advised they were lost and stopped to orient themselves.

Agency Assist – West I-90 near milepost 225 Ritzville

WSP requested assistance during a traffic stop where the driver was fighting the trooper in the middle of the roadway and was possibly armed with a gun. Deputies arrived on scene and the driver was already in custody. While on scene, the driver was highly agitated and would hit his head on the partition. The subject also kept saying to shoot him and he wanted to die. Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and transported the subject to the hospital for treatment. The driver was later booked into jail by WSP for Assault 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and DUI.

Citizen Assist – 2200 block Deborah Court Othello

Complainant reported a juvenile had left the location without permission. Deputies contacted the complainant who advised the juvenile had not left and went inside her vehicle. Complainant wanted the incident documented as the juvenile is on probation in a neighboring jurisdiction.

Citizen Assist – South Kaylee Road and West Rainier Road Othello

A subject was observed asleep on the roadway near the location and given a courtesty ride to a family member’s residence.

August 23

Agency Assist – 1200 block East Juniper Street Othello

Othello Police Department requested assistance with a weapons offense investigation at the location.

Nuisance/Noise – 700 block South Ridgeview Loop Othello

Report of loud music near the location.

Citizen Assist – 700 block South Pence Road Lind

Dispatch advised of a subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at the location. Deputies determined no medical emergency existed. The subject was found not to have a valid license and warned not to operate a motor vehicle until he obtained a valid license.

Suspicious – 1100 block North Hoefel Lane Ritzville

Complainant requested law enforcement respond to the location for disposed of property. Deputies determined the matter actually related to a long-term house guest. Complainant was informed of the tenant’s rights to privacy and recommended he contact law enforcement for future issues.

Threatening – 2900 block West Grant Road Othello

Report of a threatening call at the location. Deputies contacted a subject who advised of threats being made via social media. Investigation is ongoing.

Animal Problem – 700 block South Anson Road Othello

Dispatch advised of an animal problem at the location. Deputies searched the area and did not locate any cows.

Robbery – 2100 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Report of a theft call at the location. Complainant advised the suspect robbed items from her. Vicente Miron was located and later booked into jail for Robbery 2nd Degree.

Agency Assist – 300 block West 3rd Avenue Ritzville

Ritzville Police Department requested assistance with serving a search warrant at the location. Deputies assisted with the investigation.

Traffic Offense – West Franz Road and North Deal Road Lind

Complainant reported a possible DUI driver near the location. Austin Haughton was taken into custody and administratively processed for Negligent Driving 1st Degree.

Suspicious – East Rehn Road and East Wellsandt Road Ritzville

Report of a vehicle that had been in the area since noon. When the complainant approached the subject and asked if he needed help, he said “it’s best if you don’t.” The complainant said the subject appeared to be disoriented. Deputies did not locate the vehicle or any pedestrians.

Suspicious – 100 block North “I” Street Lind

Anonymous complainant advised the owner of the tavern was at the hospital. While he was away, there was excessive alcohol consumption occurring. Deputies were busy on a prisoner transport. Later, the tavern was checked and it was closed and unoccupied.

August 24

Vehicle Prowl – 2200 block Deborah Court Othello

Complainant reported three subjects inside his vehicle at the location. Deputies did not observe any subjects inside his vehicle or in the area.

Agency Assist – West Highway 26 and South Thacker Road Othello

WSP advised of a possible traffic collision at the location. Deputies observed two vehicles off the roadway, and remained on scene until assistance was no longer needed.

Arson – 2300 block West Sutton Road Othello

Report of a vehicle fire at the location. While in route to the call, it was learned a subject involved was possibly armed and not acting normal. The subject barricaded himself in a trailer. The Tactical Response Team (TRT) was activated to assist with the situation. While hailing the subject out of the trailer, several reports were received of fires being started to the south of the location. Deputies located the subject, who admitted to starting the fires. Thomas Hoover was arrested and booked into jail for Arson 2nd Degree and Assault 4th Degree.

Citizen Assist – 1400 block West Bench Road Othello

Complainant advised someone is keeping his computer from him and requesting money for it. Complainant advised he has paperwork where money is supposed to be transferred. Investigation is ongoing.

August 25

Agency Assist – 700 block South Sunset Acres Road Othello

Othello Police Department requested assistance with a runaway juvenile at the location. Deputies attempted contact and no one would answer the door.

Suspicious – North Neilson Avenue Lind

Report of a suspicious vehicle in the area the previous night, described as a silver four door pickup. The pickup pulled up to the neighbor’s house and a subject ran up to the house and back to the truck, which left the area.

Traffic Hazard – 2100 block West Bench Road Othello

Three quads were observed driving upon the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted, and the subjects were warned about riding quads on the roadway.

Traffic Accident – West Cunningham Road and South Billington Road Othello

Report of a hit/run collision. The driver was fleeing the scene. Deputies detained the subject, and h admitted to being the driver. Ignacio Saucedo-Sifuentes was arrested, criminally cited, and released for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and Ignition Interlock Required.

Alarm – 1900 block West Foley Road Othello

False alarm.

Vehicle Theft – 2100 block West May Street Othello

Complainant advised her Toyota Rav 4 was stolen from the location. The vehicle was located by Pasco Police Department.

Alarm – 2100 block West Bench Road Othello

False alarm.

August 26

Suspicious – 600 block South Seguro Lane Othello

Report of an unknown subject acting strange after parking the listed vehicle at the location. Registered owner was contacted and would be removing the vehicle.

Suicide Attempt – 600 block South Wagon Road Othello

Report of a suspicious subject at the location. The subject was transported to Othello Community Hospital for a mental health evaluation. No criminal incident occurred.

Medical – 2100 block West Eddies Lane Othello

Report of a medical call at the location where a child was choking on a piece of candy. Upon arrival, the candy was already removed. Emergency Medical Services arrived and evaluated the child.

Citizen Assist – 600 block South Los Garcias Lane Othello

Report of mail theft at the location. Complainant later advised a family member had put it aside for her.

Suspicious – 700 block East Booth Avenue Washtucna

Dispatch advised of a bomb threat which had occurred on a Zoom meeting for the Washtucna school board. Deputies documented the threat and are currently investigating the incident.

Suspicious – 700 block South Thacker Road Othello

Report of a suspicious vehicle near the location. Complainant advised the driver had exited and was walking back and forth. The vehicle left the location shortly before deputy arrival.

August 27

Suspicious – West Lee Road and South Reynolds Road Othello

Report of a subject sitting on the railing of the canal near the location. Deputies were unable to locate anyone in the area.

Suspicious 911 – 1900 block West Bench Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a 911 hang up from the location. Dispatch advised it sounded like an issue with the phone line. Deputies confirmed there was no emergency.

Suspicious 911 – East Snowden Road Ritzville

Dispatch advised of an open 911 call. It was believed to be a child playing with a phone. Dispatch was unable to locate the exact location for the call. The phone lines will be checked to ensure there are no problem with them.

Warrant Service – 600 block South Kristina Road Othello

Report of a juvenile subject who wanted to turn himself in for his active warrant. Deputies arrived and picked up the juvenile. Martin Hall Detention Center transported the juvenile to their facility to be booked on the warrant.

Bomb Threat – 700 block East Booth Avenue Washtucna

Complainant requested assistance with checking the location for signs of explosives. Deputies checked the location, finding no obvious evidence of explosives.

Littering – North Neilson Road and East Sackman Road Ritzville

Report of litter at the location. Investigation is ongoing.

Alarm – 600 block South Saddle Road Othello

False alarm.

Domestic – 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Report of an assault possibly in progress at the location involving an intoxicated juvenile. Suspect fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. The juvenile was later taken into custody for an alcohol offense.

Suspicious – 100 block North Main Street Washtucna

Complainant advised she received a text from an unknown number. The message was related to a request for $7000 care for a juvenile subject. An internet search was conducted and determined the number had been used multiple times for similar false requests. Contact was made with the juvenile’s father and determined he had not heard from his son in 12 months.

August 28

Welfare Check – 600 block South Kaylee Road Othello

Anonymous complainant contacted dispatch requesting law enforcement respond to the location for reported underaged drinking occurring. The complainant reported being made aware of a social media posting approximately two hours prior, depicting subjects taking ‘shots’. Deputies found only subjects of legal drinking age showing signs of intoxication.

Citizen Assist – West Highway 26 and South Thacker Road Othello

Complainant advised she needed help at the location. Upon contact, it was determined the complainant had mental health issues which were confirmed by her son.

Theft – North Hills Road and East Danekas Road Sprague

Report of a theft of mail. Investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious 911 – 600 block South Kaylee Road Othello

Report of a suspicious 911 hang up at the location. There was no emergency at the address.

Runaway Juvenile – 800 block South Highway 24 Othello

Report of a citizen assist call at the location. Parents advised their daughter ran away a few hours prior. The juvenile was entered into the system as runaway.

Welfare Check – Highway 26 and Lobe Road Lind

A trucking company requested law enforcement locate a vehicle and check the condition of its driver. Deputies located the driver at the location, who was not in distress and declined assistance.

Alarm – 2200 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Report of a burglary alarm at the location. Deputies contacted a subject at the location who advised they had permission to be there. Deputies contacted the responsible via telephone who advised of the same.
