Council debates reopening City Hall

RITZVILLE – City council members Mark Weigand and Dede Boyer motioned to re-open city hall at the Aug. 4 board meeting.

Boyer said she was hearing about City Hall being closed from city residents.

“Why is City Hall closed?” Boyer asked. “Grocery stores, drug stores, hardware stores, pet stores are open. You guys can put up a shield just like anybody else. People want to be able to come in to City Hall, ask a question, pay their bills or whatever. I’ve gotten a lot of flak from people about it being closed.”

Council member Mark Weigand said he, too, had several people ask him about it.
