Cobbs loan books

RITZVILLE - A curbside library has been receiving welcome attention after Jim and Beverly Cobb set it up outside their home last month.

Beverly Cobb said her husband built one for their winter home in Arizona, and it was going so good there, he decided to build one in Ritzville, too.

"Our daughter-in-law suggested he do it, because she knew he loves books," Beverly said. "He has a workshop here where he makes birdhouses; he just loves to tinker."

Beverly said people don't have to donate a book to take a book, although donations are always welcome.

"We still have lots of books we need to get rid of," Cobb said. "We thought with the library still closed, this is a good way to share them. We have a lot of James Patterson books to put out."

The curbside library is located at 206 W 11th Ave.
