RITZVILLE -- Here are the police reports from May 21 through June 1:

June 1

10:57 -- Request for a call regarding a civil matter between separated adults and an adult child.

May 31

22:36 -- Unsecure building at golf course.

18:48 -- Report of a domestic in progress on East Birch was determined to be a verbal argument between a parent and child

15:52 -- Report of an elderly male walking around and possibly lost. A relative was contacted, who said he has memory problems and they would pick him up.

15:01 -- Welfare check regarding a young child. The child had been placed with CPS, and the complainant was referred to the case worker.

11:23 -- Call regarding a dog running loose in the area after slipping it’s collar during the storm. The dog was returned to the owner.

10:38 -- Report of a possible burglary at a building being remodeled into apartments. It was determined the door possibly blew open during the previous day’s storm.

8:41 -- A call was received regarding a crawl space being open leading into the attic. It was determined it was most likely the wind associated with the storm on the 30th.

May 30

22:29 and 21:27 -- Calls were received regarding a subject in the back yard. The yard was checked and no one was located.

22:30 -- Call about a vehicle parked at Adams County Public Works was determined to be a county employee’s vehicle.

20:37 -- Call regarding cart shed open, golf staff notified

18:59 -- Manhole cover at 3rd and Adams blew off due to gushing water. Public works notified.

18:30 Call regarding a towed vehicle from private property. Caller was advised it was a civil matter.

14:39 -- Report of a burglary of a vacant building on Low Street. Property owner will be contacted.

11:27 -- BNSF called to advise the crossing arms at Jefferson Street were stuck in the up position, but a technician was on the way.

11:06 -- Burglary of a vacant house reported, including vehicle and suspect description. Property owner contacted and incident remains under investigation.

May 29

21:35 -- Report of an open building at the school district. Officer stood by until school employee secured the building.

20:12 -- Welfare check on a caller’s neighbor whose garage door was open all day on north Division Street. Property owner was doing yard work.

17:14 -- Welfare check on a male subject sitting on a curb near 6th and Adams Street. Subject was resting in the shade before heading to Lind for an appointment.

13:17 -- Report of fraudulent employment security claim.

12:17 -- Report of an assault two nights earlier was received from a subject after he had been trespassed from an apartment complex. Video surveillance footage was obtained. The incident, which involved alcohol, remains under investigation.

10:12 -- A request from CPS for a welfare check on children ages one and seven years resulted in CPS removing the children from the residence at 17:00.

09:49 -- Report of fraudulent employment security claim.

May 28

21:09 -- Report of speeding on Weber Ave.

15:23 -- Report of an aggressive dog approaching a subject in their own yard resulted in the owner’s mother being warned about the dog running at large.

May 27

22:00 -- Report of sounds of glass breaking led to broken window located in a vacant motor home. No entry was gained and there was no contact information available on the owner.

18:33 -- Request for a welfare check from a man whose ex-girlfriend claimed she was going to commit suicide with their children in the car. The subject was located at a relative’s house and no further officer involvement was needed.

17:32 -- Officer stand-by while a subject obtained some personal belongings.

17:02 -- Officer stand-by while a subject obtained personal belongings and a vehicle. A domestic violence protection order is in effect.

13:32 -- Report of a subject possibly on narcotics resulted in a local subject known to use drugs seen walking barefoot in the area.

12:20 -- Report of a subject breaking into a vacant house. Subject was contacted and said he was taking over managing the RV complex and fixing up one of the rental houses to live in.

10:16 -- Report of a car on the lot of a local towing company being hit while it was parked in front of the office, possibly within the past month.

01:18 -- Call requesting officer stand-by while subject retrieved belongings. Owner of the residence said belongings were already retrieved and the caller was advised to refer to the landlord-tenant law, or contact her attorney.

07:42 -- Report of a subject taking a large amount of pills in an attempt to commit suicide. An Adams County Sheriff’s Sgt. assisted until an officer arrived and the subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

May 26

20:06 -- Report of a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse speeding west bound on 7th Street.

18:24 -- Report of a subject sleeping in a red Ford Explorer on west Broadway. Subject was homeless and advised they were ok.

17:14 -- Report of a subject on east 6th riding a bike around the house, eating all the food and playing a noise machine all night. The exterior of the residence was checked and no one was located.

15:40 -- Report of several vehicles speeding around the skate board park and revving their engines resulted in WSP officers giving verbal warnings and passing along information to city officers.

15:11 -- Report of fraudulent employment security claim.

14:59 -- Report of an assault led to the arrest of Emily McNeilly, 30, of Ritzville and being booked into Adams County Jail for Assault in the 4th Degree.

13:20 -- Report of a tall male subject ducking in to an alley when an officer drove past the 800 block of north Division.

13:10 -- Report of a vehicle being hit while parked at the Bronco Inn between 18:30 on May 22 and 6:30 on May 23. Video surveillance footage was obtained of the suspect vehicle and investigation is ongoing.

11:43 -- Report of a gold Grand Am parked in caller’s yard turned out to belong to landlord’s son. The landlord will be asked to have the vehicle removed.

11:39 -- A complaint about a possible DUI driving a red Ford Expedition west bound on First Ave resulted in vehicle being located parked several blocks away.

11:26 -- A call regarding a domestic relationship no longer working out and caller wanting to “just punch the other female involved” resulted in officer warning against physical violence, suggesting caller file a parenting plan, and for one of the parties to make other living arrangements.

May 25

19:45 -- Report of a chocolate lab running in the 500 block of west 9th. Caller was advised owner already picked up the dog.

09:41 -- Owner of an impound yard on east Broadway complained an unknown suspect entered the impound yard and unhooked the transmission linkage on a vehicle.

May 24

22:00 -- Report of a sink hole in the 200 block of south Palouse resulted in an officer placing a traffic cone at the site and the city crew being advised to secure the area.

19:32 -- Report of a white Cadillac speeding in the 300 block of east Alder.

14:19 -- Report of a subject found deceased from a residence on east Cherry Ave. An officer responded along with an Adams County Sheriff’s Deputy, and Adams County Coroner’s Office was advised.

12:21 -- Report of a domestic in progress near Chelan and 7th Ave, in Ritzville. An Adams County Sheriff’s Deputy assisted the city officer at the scene along with two WSP troopers. Gary A. Craycraft, 51, of Ritzville was arrested and booked into the Adams County Jail on Domestic Violence Assault in the 4th Degree.

May 23

20:50 -- Report of a door on a mobile home on east Birch standing wide open resulted in owner advising he was airing it out.

11:05 -- Request to respond to the Ritzville Hospital for a subject suspected of overdosing on Fentanyl. The container that held the drugs was placed into evidence.

11:46 -- An officer was requested to contact a complainant regarding a juvenile matter.

May 22

12:00 -- A city public works employee reported ongoing vandalism in the men’s bathroom at the city park. A juvenile suspect, identified through video footage, admitted vandalizing the men’s bathroom several times in the last week. A report was forwarded to the Adams County Juvenile Court Administrator and the Adams County Prosecutor’s office, pending charges of Malicious Mischief.

01:32 -- Homeless female sitting on the sidewalk near the city park was offered a ride to the hospital but said she would be staying with a friend for the night at a motel.

20:11 -- Report from the manager of the bowling alley of a brick thrown through the window resulted in a juvenile suspect being identified through video surveillance footage. A statement was taken from the suspect and the report forwarded to the Adams County Juvenile Court Administrator nad the Adams County Prosecutor’s office, pending charges of malicious mischief. Preliminary estimate of damage is several hundred dollars.
