Sheltering in place doesn't make sense
Sheltering in place doesn't make sense
There's a lot to appreciate about farmers donating potatoes and volunteers helping to distribute them.
But if one is awake, it's also deeply disturbing that farmers will soon "plow under a billion pounds of potatoes."
Mind you that, this year, billions of people are forecast to starve to death around the world due to weather having caused crop failures globally and unprecedented locust migrations.
Even in the U.S., the supply of food for restaurants can't be repackaged fast enough to avoid a 50% food shortage for months.
And too many truckers will be out of business for farmers to ship all of the next crops.
Why? Have you noticed government regulations prevent better solutions? And no one is doing anything to solve this bigger problem.
Is there really no solution to this? How about you?
Any reason you aren't getting on the phone and calling every politician supposedly representing you to demand they solve the problem now? Also, call a few relatives or friend to do the same.
And don't forget to pray.
That is if you care about others and for that matter would rather not soon be hungry.
Oh, and when forecasts said 3 million would die from COVID-19, sheltering in place seemed sensible.
Now that actual deaths are less than most annual flu season totals, what motivation could politicians possibly have to cause millions to die of starvation by requiring sheltering in place to continue indefinitely or until "vaccines" are available?
No one has prevented colds, yet. So what do you suppose is going on with that?
