39 candidates file for 26 offices

RITZVILLE — Adams County candidates filing for public offices kicked off strong on the opening day of filing week, Monday, May 11; and continued through the week.

Monday, May 11 saw 20 hopefuls filing, according to the Adams County Auditor’s Office. By Friday, May 15, 39 candidates had filed.

The following were all on board for the August primary, with 39 candidates filing for 26 offices:

Adams County

• Superior Court Judge Position No. 1 — Steve Dixon of Ritzville

• Commissioner District No. 1 — Dan Blankenship of Ritzville, John N. Marshall of Ritzville and Glen R. Stockwell of Ritzville

• Commissioner District No. 2 — Ken Johnson of Othello and Jay R. Weise of Othello

Democratic Precinct Committee Officer

Othello City No. 2 — James Carlton of Othello

Othello City No. 5 — Kenneth E. Caylor of Othello

Republican Precinct Committee Officer

Benge District — Heather Clinesmith of Benge
