RITZVILLE — Prospective cheerleaders for Lind-Ritzville High School can try out for the 2020-21 Bronco Cheer Squad.
Cheerleading coach Kelsey Kramer said due to COVID-19 restrictions, tryouts will not take place in the usual way, but all tryout material will be available to each candidate online through the BAND app or online at https://band.us.home.
Kramer said weekly, live virtual meetings will take place using the online material for candidates to help one another with tryout material.
“I would like to reiterate we cannot get together in person to practice,” Kramer said.
Candidates must sign up for tryouts through Final Forms at https://lindritzville-wa.finalforms.com/ for “Coed Cheer Tryouts” prior to accessing material.
Candidates will then be emailed a cheer tryout package detailing the tryout process and program information, she said.
Eighth-graders can contact her to be added directly to final forms, and then they can access and fill out all paperwork.
“Once all paperwork is complete, you will be invited to join our private BAND group, where you will find all of the tryout material,” Kramer said. “Please review this material immediately and familiarize yourself with the BAND app.”
The first meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, May 1.
“Parents are welcome to be present with you and will have a chance to ask any questions they may have,” Kramer said. “This is not a mandatory parent meeting.
“From there, I would like to meet at least every Friday at 4 p.m. through the month of May. We will discuss schedules and come up with times that work with everyone together.”
Kramer can be reached through Final Forms by phone at 509-347-6311 or by emailing [email protected].
“I look forward to a fun-filled year of working hard, accomplishing goals, building teamwork and becoming the best cheer squad we can possibly be,” Kramer said.
