Spuds to be given out

RITZVILLE — Free potatoes donated by Washington potato growers will be given out at the Ritzville ACE Hardware starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 29.

The food-service industry shutdown has resulted in processed potato production slowing or stopping altogether, officials said.

Despite the setback, Washington potato growers are making an effort to feed our communities by donating potatoes to those in need.

These are high-quality, Washington spuds, officials said, noting they will be dispensed at the 108 W. First Ave. store.
