Woman killed in crash near Lind

LIND — A Ford F150 overturned Sunday, April 5, killing a Kettle Falls woman.

Kristen K. Icenogle,, 52, of Kettle Falls was southbound at 10:17 a..m. on U.S. Highway 395 when her Ford 150 pickup left the roadway on the inside shoulder, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Icenogle apparently overcorrected and her vehicle overturned and rolled a few times before coming to rest on the shoulder near Milepost 70 south of Lind, the patrol said.

Icenogle was not wearing a seatbelt, the patrol said, noting there were no passengers or other vehicles involved.

Trooper Cody M. Pierce responded to the scene, where the driver was pronounced dead, the patrol said.

Chris Curtis of B&B towing removed the vehicle, and assisted Pierce in cleaning the scene.

Chaplain Robert Purdy and Trooper Chaplain Connor S. Bruchman notified Icenogle’s family of her death.
