Ralston Grange continues activities

RALSTON — For 2020, Ralston Grange will continue to sponsor activities, fundraisers and programs that they have provided in the past.

Those activities include the Cribbage Tournament, a community Easter Egg Hunt, dinner and auction for the John Wayne Trai Riders group, breakfast at the Lind Combine Derby, booths and a food and bingo concession at the Wheat Land Communities Fair.

Other events include the superintendents’ dinner at the fair, Fall Fest craft fair, Veteran’s Appreciation Dinner, community Christmas Party and sponsoring the Ray Scholarship.

Being the Grange’s 90th anniversary, a special celebration will be planned as well as noting the 40th anniversary of the Mt. St. Helen’s eruption. On May 18, 1980 ,the grange was celebrating its 50th anniversary and ended up having many unplanned overnight “guests” at their hall as travel that night became nearly impossible.

The next regular meeting of the Ralston Grange will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the hall beginning

There will be a presentation by Lloyd Stoess on the latest happenings with Washtucna Historical Museum and the Ice Age Floods Institute.

The Ralston Grange-sponsored seventh Annual Cribbage Tournament will be Sunday, Feb. 23 beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the grange hall.
