The Ritzville Rodeo Association will be holding its annual banquet on Jan. 19 at the American Legion Hall, as it coronates its 2020 rodeo queen.
The banquet begins at 5 p.m. and features a catered dinner by Rollin’ Coal Barbecue out of Washtucna. During the banquet, 2020 Ritzville Rodeo Queen Julia Klein will be coronated, 2019 queen Rachel Nygren will bid farewell and the 2019 Youth Drill Team will be recognized for its performance last year.
A silent and live auction will also be held throughout the evening. The funds raised will go toward supporting Klein’s travels throughout the year in her capacity as an ambassador for the 2020 Ritzville Rodeo. Those who would like to donate an item for either of the auctions are asked to call or text Klein at (509) 309-9584.
The cost to attend the banquet is $15 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and under. Pay is accepted at the door, but the rodeo asks those planning to attend to RSVP on the Ritzville Rodeo Association Facebook page or by calling or texting (509) 660-3230.
