Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
We’ve just finished up our latest election cycle in Washington State. In the City of Ritzville’s mayor’s race, I received approximately 78% of the vote, returning me for a second term. I’m very humbled by your continued faith in me as a public servant. There are unfinished projects and future plans and I realize some will take priority over others. I suspect I could serve you for decades and there would always be something we couldn’t complete.
My intent during the last four years was to make our city attractive to residents, both current and future, while increasing tourism and community involvement. We have such amazing assets including our parks, golf course, water park, museums and theater. Our downtown is getting a long-needed boost of businesses from some dedicated locals.
It is my responsibility to keep the city transparent, support it’s citizens by providing good quality, affordable utilities, streets and other infrastructure. The residents deserve to have a city that serves their needs and helps provide a quality of life that keeps people here and entices others to move here. We have a lot to offer for a small town.
My thanks to all who put their faith in me for another term, and those who helped me in asking for your vote. Katelin Davidson, Chris Cook, neighbors and friends were key to this effort. Thanks especially to Dave Aherns, who kept the campaign above board and addressed issues facing this town.
Thanks again to you all. I look forward to continued service to you and am confident we will move this community forward to make it a pleasant place to live.
