Adams County Sheriff's Office Reports: Oct. 17, 2019

Oct. 6 — A complainant advised that a tan and white colored puppy showed up at his property on the 1300 block of North Wahl Road. The complainant advised that it was ok to give his number to the owner if they called.

Oct. 7 — Adams County Superior Court requested deputy presence during court. Deputies responded and kept the peace during the proceedings.

Oct. 7 — Deputies assisted with traffic control during a fire near State Highway 395, milepost 70. Deputies cleared once they were no longer needed.

Oct. 9 — Deputies assisted the Ritzville Police Department with a welfare check on the 100 block of East 3rd Street in Ritzville. The subject was contacted and found to be fine.

Oct. 9 — A complainant at East Wellsandt Road and North Klein Road in Ritzville reported cows out near the feed lot. The subject responsible for the cows were contacted and took care of the issue.

Oct. 10 — While on patrol, a deceased deer was found in the middle of the roadway at North State Route 21 and East Harder Road in Ritzville. The deer was removed from the roadway.

Oct. 10 — A complainant reported a fire near the 400 block of South Main Street in Washtucna. Complainant also reported his neighbor burning items he shouldn’t. The area was searched and no fires were located.

Oct. 10 — A complainant on North St. Clair Avenue in Lind reported that her daughter’s ex-boyfriend came into the residence and physically took her adult daughter when she didn’t want to leave. Deputies responded and contacted the complainant, who advised they wanted the male subject trespassed from their residence and daughter back home. Deputies contacted the daughter at a different address, who advised she was fine and wanted to be there. The daughter advised that she wasn’t assaulted and wanted to leave her mother’s residence. The ex-boyfriend was contacted and advised he was trespassed from complainant’s residence.

Oct. 11 — A complainant reported the theft of a car dolly at the 300 block of North 1 Street in Lind. The complainant was contacted and advised that the last time he knew the car dolly was the location was a month ago. An investigation is ongoing.

Oct. 11 — A complainant advised of a vehicle trespassing on East Lind-Ralston Road in Ritzville. The complainant believed the subject was scouting for hunting season. The location was checked and the vehicle wasn’t located.

Oct. 12 — A complainant reported subjects were trespassing while hunting at 1600 E. Calloway Road in Ritzville. The complainant and land owner contacted the subjects. Deputies responded to the area and contacted the involved subjects. The land owner did not want the subjects charged. The subjects were warned to only hunt where they had permission from the land owner.

Oct. 12 — A complainant advised of a subject on a four-wheeler trespassing at East State Route 26 near milepost 80 near Washtucna. Washington State Fish and Wildlife contacted the complainant and handled the call since an official was in the area.

Oct. 12 — A complainant at the 700 block of West Schoessler Road in Ritzville advised the previous night that his gray and tan colored Weimaraner went missing. He has looked for the dog around the area. The complainant advised that the dog doesn’t have a collar and if found, he can be contacted on his cell phone.

Oct. 12 — A complainant reported subjects pointing rifles from out of their vehicle at State Highway 261 and South Benge-Washtucna Road in Washtucna. It was reported the subjects were pointing the rifles in the direction of a herd of does. The complainant told them to stop what they were doing. The subjects left north bound on Highway 261. The area was checked and the vehicle wasn’t located.

Oct. 12 — A complainant reported a vehicle parked in the area and trespassing on his property on North Deal Road in Ritzville. The property is located just north of the Department of Transportation shed. A complainant advised he contacted the subjects who advised they believed the land was owned by the DOT and open to hunting. The complainant advised he leased the land and they could not hunt on it. Deputies responded to the location and upon arrival, no vehicles were in the area. The complainant was contacted, who advised that he believed the subjects left shortly after he did.
