Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
The Lind-Ritzville FFA Alumni is currently organizing the Lind-Ritzville FFA Alumni Grain Drive to benefit the Lind-Ritzville FFA Chapter, 2 Farm Business Management Teams and the Ag Leadership class. We want to offer you the opportunity to donate to these activities.
The idea behind the grain drive is to get local producers to donate bushels of wheat to the Lind-Ritzville FFA Alumni. This wheat is then managed by the Farm Business Management Team. The grain will provide a “hands on” experience. While working closely with both Columbia Grain International (Union Elevator) and Ritzville Warehouse; students will conduct research, develop a marketing plan, and make their own marketing decisions. Students will be given costs of production and real-life production situations and charged with the goal of managing and marketing the grain for a profit. This is a great real-world learning situation that not only advances student learning, but also benefits members of the FFA chapter as money earned goes towards funding the many activities throughout the year.
To donate, please contact Columbia Grain International, 509-677-3432 or Ritzville Warehouse, 509-659-0130.
