The Lady Broncos bounced back with a 3-1 home-victory over Reardan, before getting swept again at Liberty on Oct. 1.

The score of the Sept. 24 match against Upper Columbia was mentioned in last week’s issue of The Journal, but no other information was available because the game occurred so close to print time. The Lady Broncos opened up a large double-digit first-set lead and never looked back, taking the set 25-12.

Upper Columbia had its best set of the evening in the second set, taking a small lead midway through. In the end, however, LRS held on to win 25-18.

Any momentum Upper Columbia had was gone by the third set. LRS led the whole way and finished Upper Columbia off 25-9.

The Lady Broncos returned home on Sept. 30 for an unusual Monday night matchup against winless Reardan.

Reardan took the first set 17-25. It was only the school’s third set win in seven matches. LRS stormed back taking the next three sets 25-21, 25-19, 25-18.
