Ralston Grange looking for volunteers for fair food and bingo concessions

The Ralston Grange concession at the Wheat Land Communities’ Fair will be open Wednesday, August 28 beginning at 6:00 p.m., serving a potato bar that evening only.

The meal is $5, except for those who have volunteered to be superintendents or judges and received a ticket from the fair board for a free meal. They must turn in their ticket when picking up their meal at the grange building.

Friday through Sunday during the fair the Grange will be offering their regular menu, which this year will be kraut runza, German sausage, soft pretzels, chocolate zucchini muffins, Wilma’s popcorn balls, popcorn, beverages, and new this year, cotton candy. The food concession is open on Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 12-7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Activities at their building will include Bingo on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 1-7 p.m. The cost to play bingo is one card for 50 cents or two for 75 cents per game. On Sunday, kid’s games and crafts geared for youngsters 12 and under will be offered from 12-1 p.m., free of charge.

The Grange is still looking for volunteers to help with the food and bingo concession. Workers are needed for all shifts, which last for two to three hours. Helpers do not need to be Grange members. Anyone wanting to volunteer may do so by either contacting Randy Roth at 509-659-0893, or by email at [email protected].

The Grange will also have entries in the booth division of the fair representing the Ralston Grange and their Junior Grange.
