Adams County Sheriff's Office Reports: Dec. 20, 2018

Dec. 11, 5:11 p.m.—A Lind complainant advised of what was first believed to be a male subject in a field on E 5th Street yelling and screaming. The complainant later called and advised that it was a female screaming and a male subject was near her. An officer responded and requested assistance from the Washington State Patrol. Prior to the officer’s arrival—which was delayed to due distance and bad roads—dispatch advised that both subjects came into town and that the male was following the female. The officer later located a male walking in the area of 5th and S Street who fit the description of the male subject. The male advised that he and his girlfriend had an argument over Instagram messages he received from an ex-girlfriend. The male subject said that the argument was verbal only, and that no assault had taken place. The officer later located the female involved in the argument, who confirmed that it was just a verbal argument between the two, and that she was fine.

Dec. 12, 10:04 a.m.—A complainant advised of getting into a verbal argument with a subject driving a yellowish colored garbage truck on N Paha-Packard Road. The subject wanted to drive around the road closure and was not allowed to. The subject claimed that he would have the complainant arrested, and left traveling northbound. The workers on scene had not seen the truck since it left, and were advised to call if it returns and further problems ensue.

Dec. 12, 10:34 p.m.—A Ritzville complainant called to report he and another person had been in an argument at a property on E Rehn Road. The officer spoke to the complainant, who stated he was arguing with his girlfriend and now had blood on his arm. The officer looked at his arm and said it appeared he had scraped off an old scab and it was bleeding. The officer spoke to the other person, who stated that the complainant was very intoxicated. She told the officer that they had been in an argument but no assault had taken place. When asked about the complainant’s arm, she said that he has scabs all over because he has cancer and is under treatment. It was determined that no assault had occurred, and both parties agreed to separate for the night.

Dec. 15, 11:08 a.m.—A complainant called and reported a vehicle parked on the side of the roadway on N Highway 261 and E Roloff Road. The vehicle was parked in the area far away from the highway, and it was found the vehicle was part of a survey crew working on the gas pipeline.
