Thanking a wonderful community, from the Osborn Family

Michelle Erdman Stumpf and Kellie Thompson Ottmar came together to put on a silent auction benefit dinner for us. A group of women—Shanon Davis, Marianne Lazenby, Kellie Ottmar, Michelle Stumpf, Brittany Dew and Karen Jacinto—all came together, planned, prepared and went business-to-business to get donations, which just came together effortlessly. Donations poured in.

The community then pulled together and the donations and help poured in. We had an Italian dinner and silent auction to benefit Cameron Osborn and his family. He’s fighting Stage Four Nasopharyngeal carcinoma cancer (a tumor in his head and two in his neck). He finished 7 weeks of radiation-chemotherapy and is now finishing his second of three rounds of double-dose cisplatin Chemo + 5fu pump.

Cameron is 26, married to Briana Osborn of Lind. They have two beautiful children, a six-year-old daughter Carlee and eight-month-old son Liam.

No one fights alone, and this community came together for this young family. There was food served for a donation, bowling, and auction items that were bid on. Part of the proceeds went to the Osborn family. It was a truly humbling experience. The community gave this family a break from worries about unpaid bills or expenses such as gas, RX, medical costs and daycare. This family is so strong and thanks to all of you their struggle became a little more tolerable.

We had big donations from our local business: Legacy, Eagles Women’s Auxiliary, I90 Green House, Kindra’s Coffee Bar, Boxwood, Ace Hardware, Cow Creek Mercantile, Ritz Drug and Love’s Travel Stop. The bowling alley donated the building, their time and proceeds from bowling to the family.

I personally want to thank each and every person for every prayer, hug and support we have received. I wish I could hug you all and put into words how grateful we are to have such a caring, loving and strong army of people behind us. Cameron is fighting and he has been able to focus on just fighting as hard as he can thanks to all of you. Lind & Ritzville, you mean the world to us. A small town equals a big, loving family!

From, The Osborn Family
