Adams County Sheriff's Office Reports

Oct. 21, 10:16 a.m. — While in the Ritzville impound yard on an unrelated detail, it was noticed that the west wire fencing had been cut and a vehicle parked nearby was broken into. It is unknown when this occurred. The fence was repaired by deputies.

Oct. 22, 9:57 a.m. — A Ritzville complainant advised that a window alarm was going off at a home on E Weber Road. An officer from the Sheriff’s Department checked the house and found that all of the doors and windows were closed and secure.

Oct. 22, 2:06 p.m. — A Washtucna complainant advised that she believed she heard a gun shot coming from her neighbor’s house on Main Street. An officer contacted the listed subject at the house, who said he was not aware of any gunshots and that there was no emergency. The subject would not allow the officer enter the house and check.

Oct. 23, 11:36 a.m. — A Washtucna complainant advised that someone entered his pasture on S Mullan Road & E State Route 26 and butchered one of his cows. There are no suspects at this time.

Oct. 24, 4:23 p.m. — A Ritzville complainant advised that while at the Schrag Rest Area she left her vehicle unlocked while going to use the restroom. Complainant advised that when she returned to her truck, her purse had been rummaged through and items had been taken.

Oct. 24, 9:50 p.m. — A Lind complainant advised that she believes a wood post may have been stolen from a pile of wood on E 2nd Street.

Oct. 25, 1:41 p.m. — A Lind complainant advised of a domestic situation at one of his rentals on W Main Street. Through investigation it was found that malicious mischief had occurred. The suspect was booked into jail.

Oct. 25, 5:33 p.m. — A Washtucna complainant advised that someone graffiti-ed her house on N Main Street during the night. The complainant only wanted to report it and did not want deputy contact in person.

Oct. 26, 3:34 p.m. — A Lind complainant called and reported that a child had been bitten by a dog on E 4th Street. An officer spoke to the child and complainant and it was determined that the child was walking on the sidewalk when he was bitten. The bite was very superficial and required no medical attention. The officer spoke to the dog’s owner and advised them that the dog needed to be tied as to where it can’t reach the sidewalk. The complainant and dog owner had already discussed this prior to the officer’s arrival.

Oct. 27, 12:35 p.m. — A Lind complainant on W 5th Street called to report an incident about Snapchat images that were vulgar and violent in nature. The Snapchat image was found to be the same message from a previous incident. The juvenile male had his phone taken away and had not made any new posts. The parents wanted to be better informed by the school regarding the incident and advised that they would contact the school and work on resolving the issue.

Oct. 27, 11:34 p.m. — Deputies were dispatched to a property on W 3rd Street in Lind. The complainant called and reported that the suspect had threatened to kill him. The complainant stated the suspect had opened the door and told him “he was going to kill” him. The suspect had left the scene prior to deputies arriving and was not found.
