KSPS Public Television, the Spokane PBS affiliate station announced today “Game of Tomes: The Great American Read Finale Watch Party” at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, October 23rd, (a week from today) on the third floor of the downtown branch of the Spokane Public Library.
The party celebrates America’s 100 best-loved books (as chosen by a national survey), explored in PBS’s eight-part series, The Great American Read. Viewers have been voting for their favorites of the 100 books since May at http://www.KSPS.org/read/, and the results of the voting will be revealed in the final episode to announce America’s best-loved book.
Though anyone can watch the finale at home on KSPS at 8:00 PM on the 23rd, KSPS invites readers and revelers of all ages to dress as their favorite literary character or author and celebrate great books on a special evening that will include, a no-host bar, movie-style snacks, raffles, drawings, and a costume contest.
The all-ages event is free, but tickets are required and can be obtained at http://www.KSPS.org/read/.
