Aug. 10, 10:36 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of a fire on South Haase Road. Deputy Ned Bernath responded, and the fire had been extinguished prior to him arriving on scene.
Aug. 10, 4:20 p.m. – Lind complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office and advised an individual did not show up for a scheduled child exchange at 4 p.m. at the Lind City Park. The complainant requested an incident report to document the reported violation.
Aug. 10, 9:57 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of red and white cars driving fast through the area. The vehicles were turning their headlights off and on repeatedly. Deputies Hunter Klewin and Jeff Lane checked the area and the suspect vehicles were not located.
Aug. 11, 9:17 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a decapitated dog near North I Street and East First Street. Deputy Lane responded to investigate.
Aug. 11, 2:51 p.m. –
Grant County Sheriff’s Office advised of a pursuit of a red motorcycle on Wheeler Road from Road Q. The male driver was a possible suspect in an earlier order violation.
Aug. 11, 3:53 p.m. – Deputy Lane contacted a vehicle on North Paha-Packard Road, south of the I-90 overpass. Deputy Lane contacted the vehicle with ignition punched, but the owner was unable to be contacted. The vehicle had not been reported as stolen.
Aug. 11, 8:06 p.m. – A complainant advised their child called and asked for a ride at the Hatton Coulee Rest Area. The complainant could not locate their child and was concerned about their well-being, as their child’s significant other was driving a stolen vehicle and giving their child meth.
