EALD seeks plant donations for Learning Garden

The East Adams Library District (EALD) is seeking donations of perennial plants for the Learning Garden.

EALD received a $5,000 donation from the Hennings Foundation and will use the funds to move forward on the Learning Garden. The district is partnering with Boxwood Home and Garden for landscaping of the lot that will be used for the project

Some of the different plants EALD is looking for include balloon flowers, zauschneria, silver and yellow lamb’s ear, or Jupiter’s Beard.

The district will also accept coneflowers, daylilies, rudbeckia, daisies and dianthus plants.

People can also donate phlox plants, morardas, penstemon, silver mound artemisia or autumn joy, variegated or purple Sedum spectabile.

EALD is also looking for volunteers to help with planting at the garden.

Plant donations can also be brought to Boxwood at 408 West First Avenue in Ritzville.
