Volunteers needed for First Avenue beautification project

The City of Ritzville is seeking volunteers to help with the First Avenue Beautification project on May 19 and 20.

Crews will plant the trees, shrubs, grass, perennial flowers on Saturday at 8 a.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Volunteers are asked to bring shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows and meet at the Napa Auto Parts building on First Avenue. Crews are also seeking a pickup and trailer to transport wheelbarrow.

Bottled water will be provided for volunteers.
