Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
David Russell Erdman, Age 74, passed away on Saturday May 5, 2018 in East Adams Rural Healthcare, Ritzville Washington, in a caring and loving environment. He had lived in Soap Lake, WA for the last few years.
He was born in Tacoma, Washington on January 24th, 1945 to Viola (Coey) and Frederick Erdman. David had 12 brothers and sisters, 8 boys and 5 girls.
Dave lived his life on his terms, he loved with all his heart and gave all he had to the ones he loved or a person he just met. No one was a stranger once he shook their hand. He would invite you in listen to his wonderful music.
Dave was always proud of his family and that resonated until the last breath he took. Dave had many trades and hobbies; mechanic, farming, truck driving, and craftsman of beautiful wood projects.
David Erdman was very proud of our armed service men and women and served in the Navy from 1963 – 1967 with a reenlistment in 1966.
He was preceded in death by his 12 brothers, sisters, mother, father, his Margie, two of his six children and was recently remarried to Marlene Mitchell who passed away on May 3rd, 2018.
Our family is blessed to have him as a part of our lives. He will be with us always. For Sure, For Certain, For Always, with his cowboy hat, Navy pride, jangling keys and snap up shirts.
We would like to extend an invitation to all that loved Dave in sharing our memories together at the Lind City Park on May 12th at 1:00 p.m.
We are doing a potluck style lunch throughout the day and ask that you bring your own chairs.
