WASHTUCNA ELEMENTARY Reading Month was once again a huge success. Students read a total of 17,910 pages during the month of March. The theme this year was pirates. Students received bandanas, eye patches and mustaches throughout the month. They took part in a partner read, Booknic and scavenger hunt as well as learning about sea animals, famous pirates, parts of ships, weather and maps. The students went on a field trip to see the Titanic exhibit shown at the MAC in Spokane, which everyone enjoyed. The month concluded with a prize drawing for those students who reached their reading goals. -Photo submitted by Debra Sitton
