The Adams County Auditor’s Office will be accepting filings for local offices beginning Monday, May 14. The filing period will close on Friday, May 18.
The local offices open for filing are Auditor, Assessor, Treasurer, Clerk, Ritzville District Court Judge, Othello District Court Judge, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff and Commissioner District 3.
Filing is also open for precinct committee officers. There is no filing fee for those positions.
All persons filing for County Commissioner must be a registered voter within the commissioner district that they are filing. For questions regarding which commissioner district you reside in call 659-3249.
All persons filing for Judge and Prosecuting Attorney must be an attorney licensed to practice law in Washington state and be a registered voter in Adams County.
Filing fees are collected at the time of filing and are non-refundable.
Filings will be accepted daily during filing week at the Adams County Auditor’s Office in Ritzville. The office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The Auditor’s Office is located at 210 West Broadway Avenue, Ste. 200.
Filings are also accepted online at http://www.co.adams.wa.us. To access online filing select “Elections” on the menu at the left side of the website.
Online submissions of Declarations of Candidacy must be completed no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, May 18.
