Carol Sue (Nealey) Williams

Carol Sue (Nealey) Williams, 82, died peacefully at home Oct. 12, 2017.

She was born June 3, 1935, at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane to Duran B and Mabel I Nealey.

Attended Washington State College in Pullman where she met and married Lee B. Williams. Lee and Sue were married 60 years and had four children.

In their 60 years together, they lived at over 25 addresses throughout the western United States including Colorado, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Idaho, Washington and California.

Sue was a homemaker and community volunteer, establishing healthy roots in every community that she blessed.

She lead both boy and girl scout troops, sharing her can-do attitude with many children. She was a Sunday-School teacher and demonstrated the love of Christ in all that she did.

She lent comfort and aid to all who knew her. She possessed the heart of a joyful servant.

Sue loved to cook, sew and read. She especially loved mystery novels and all things British.

She was 40-year member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, serving in many leadership roles. A life-long Presbyterian, Sue served on various committees, as Deacon and Elder at various churches throughout the years. She was a member of Presbyterian Women of Colorado and Mariners.

Sue is survived by her children, Noman (Elizabeth) Williams of Dallas, Texas, Andrew Williams of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kitty (Jerry) Fynbu of Lincoln, Dewight (Shandry) Williams of Phoeniz, Arizona; sister-in-law Kathleen Williams of Lincoln; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Lee Williams, her parents, brother Charles Nealey and granddaughter Audrianna Hanley.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Lind Community Church. A luncheon is to follow.
