VAN FOR ZOEY. The Fannin family and representatives from the Ritzville Foursquare Church stand in front of the family’s newly purchased wheelchair accessible van outside of Ritzville Grade School. The Fannins will use the van to help transport their daughter Zoey Fannin. From left: Amy Galbreath, Aubrey Fannin, Brandi Fannin, Zoey Fannin, Lilly Fannin, Tim Fannin, Aiden Fannin and Bill Cox. The family recently purchased the vehicle with the help of the church, who raised money for the family through a community fund drive. Galbreath nominated the family when the church was deciding on a local community project to help a family. From October to December, the church held different events to help raise money for the fund drive while local organizations and residents also contributed to the cause. A total of $19,280.90 was raised from the creation of a local bank account and a GoFundMe page. The Foursquare Church will hold a dessert event at the church on Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. as a way to say “thank you” to everyone who donated and participated in the fund drive. -Journal photo by Al Stover
