Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
At our last Ritzville Ministerial Association meeting, a concern was voiced about who we are, what we do, and who is involved in the ministry of this group.
First and foremost, we are an outreach source for our community and for folks in need who are traveling through Ritzville. Monies to help families and individuals needing our help are made available depending on the need.
Secondly, we are a part of the Ritzville Food Pantry. In December, we will be helping to distribute Christmas food baskets. Last year this effort helped over 150 families.
This year, the RMA has been asked to participate in holiday events downtown. Another outreach we have is in ministry to the hospital’s long-term care patients, and residents at Rose Garden Estates, our assisted living facility and to the jail.
Each of the ministers in the RMA is involved in providing a Sunday service to all these folks throughout the year. The RMA is also involved in helping to fund Vacation Bible School for children in our community.
Within our Church Community, the RMA oversees the Lenten soup suppers. This is a time when all of our churches can worship and fellowship together.
Those churches can worship and fellowship together.
Those churches involved in the RMA and its ministry are: Father Rory Pitsick from St. Agnes Church, Charles Jingling for the Benge Community Church, Bob Kenyon for the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Bill Cox for the Ritzville Foursquare Church, Lyn and Jeanie Hershey for the Menno Mennonite Church, Ryo Olson for the Ritzville Church of the Nazarene, Richard Lee for the New Hope Center, John Winslow for the Ritzville Seventh-day Adventist Church, John Hunsberger for Trinity United Methodist Church, Kriss Bottino for the Washtucna Community Church and Janel Rieve for the Zion Philadelphia United Church of Christ.
As always, the Ritzville Ministerial Association thanks the community for all of their help and support in carrying out their ministry.
Ritzville Ministerial Association Members, Ritzville
