The Lind Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first Zombie Walk weekend on Oct. 28-29 at Lind Town Park with several activities planned for both days.
On Saturday, Oct. 28, the event kicks off at 4 p.m. with the Zombie costume contest where judges will award prizes in the following age categories: 6-10 years old, 11-17 years old and 18 years and older.
The Zombie Walk starts at 5 p.m. The activity is free for everyone, and walkers do not have wear costumes to participate.
There will be a “Learn How to be a Zombie” make-up class. Registration for the class is $5 per person. To register for the class, contact Mary Ann Clemmer at 509-217-8862.
After the Zombie Walk, attendees can visit vendors or walk to the metal building at the end of the park and play the Zombie Shoot paintball game. Admission for the activity is $5 for 10 paintballs and $10 for 25 paintballs.
The first night of the Zombie Walk wraps up with a showing of “Annabelle,” sponsored by the Lind Chamber of Commerce. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult to watch the movie.
Sunday night begins with a free children’s costume contest at the park at 4:30 p.m. where judges will award prizes in the following categories: 0-6 years old and 7-12 years old.
Following the costume contest will be Trunk or Treat from 4:30-4:45 p.m.
Other activities on Sunday include the Zombie Shoot, a Cake Walk and the movie, “Casper.”
There will be vendors and other activities on both days of the event.
