Eastern Adams County's Only Independent Voice Since 1887
Teams from across Eastern Washington are traveling to Ritzville on Saturday, Oct. 21, to participate in a flag football tournament. Jimmie Snider Field is split into three sections, and the tournament begins at 9 a.m. with the youngest participants.
Two Lind-Ritzville teams in the kindergarten to first grade age bracket take the field at 9 a.m. to begin the event. On Field Two is Travis Glisson’s team versus Reardan, and Zach Gardner’s team is on Field Three against Wilbur.
At 10 a.m., the kindergarten and first grade teams continue play. Dustan Arlt’s team faces Odessa on Field One, John Galbreath’s team faces Odessa on Field Two, and all while Glisson’s team takes on Harrington on Field Three.
Two Lind-Ritzville second and third grade teams take the field at 11 a.m. Gardner’s team will face Odessa on Field One, while Adam Krause’s team will battle on Field Three.
The second and third grade competition continues at noon, when Paul McAnally’s team faces Reardan on Field One.
The fourth and fifth grade teams take the field at 1 p.m. and again at 2 p.m.
At 1 p.m., Mark Cameron’s team faces Harrington on Field Two, while Kristian Boness’ team plays Reardan on Field 3.
Aaron Esser’s team rounds out the fourth and fifth grade competition at 2 p.m. on Field Two against Davenport.
The sixth grade teams will play the final games of the day at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Keary Redburn’s team will compete on Field One in back-to-back games, facing Odessa first and then Davenport.
