General Election voter registration dates approaching

Adams County voters are reminded the deadline is Oct. 9 for mail, online and voter updates for the Nov. 7 General Election.

After Oct. 9 voter registration closes to transfers and address changes within Washington state until after the Nov. 7 General Election.

Individuals can register online at http://www.vote.wa.gov or in person at the Adams County Auditor’s Office at 210 West Broadway Avenue in Ritzville. Voters can also make address changes online or in person.

State law permits persons to register to vote through Oct. 31 provided they are new registrants to the State of Washington.

Persons so registering must register in person at the office of the Adams County Auditor. Only voters not already registered in the State of Washington may register during this period.

The Adams County Auditor’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
