Aug. 27, 2:09 a.m. – Deputy Hunter Klewin assisted the Ritzville Police Department with an agitated mental health subject at the 200 block of North Adams Street.
Aug. 27, 2:42 a.m. – Dispatch advised of a domestic issue on Interstate 90, Milepost 218. Deputy Klewin contacted one of the subjects, who said the issue was not a domestic situation and their spouse had used drugs and became paranoid. Complainant was advised to contact Grant County.
Aug. 27, 10:46 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant advised of loud music and flashlights near the neighbor’s garage. Deputy Klewin contacted the subject and advised there was no music playing. The subject was using flashlights to check the area because he thought someone was accessing one of the vehicles.
Aug. 28, 11:23 a.m. – A Hatton complainant contacted dispatch to report a loose dog on Second Avenue. Deputy Juan Garcia responded to the area and was not able to locate the dog. Garcia contacted the complainant who advised of the dog’s owner. Garcia contacted the listed owner and advised the dog needed to be secured.
Aug. 28, 8:07 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant reported a suspicious vehicle on East Lind-Ralston and East Hiller roads. Deputy Klewin contacted the property owner and found the suspect had trespassed and took a solar panel.
Aug. 28, 10:54 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant on North Columbia River Lane advised they were receiving harassing messages on Facebook from a subject. Deputy Klewin was not able to reach the subject and advised complainant to block the subject on social media.
Aug. 29, 7:35 a.m. – Sergeant Ben Buriak assisted the Ritzville Police Department on a possible burglary in progress on East Second Avenue. Buriak arrived at the scene and it was determined no entry was made inside the residence.
Aug. 30, 2:03 p.m. – An abandoned vehicle was reported on the 200 block of North Wilbur Road in Lind.
Aug. 30, 8:13 p.m. – Dispatch was advised of a situation on Bronson Street in Hatton of a subject firing a firearm in the air as a “warning shot” to their child. Deputy Blake Hampton interviewed the subject and three witnesses.
Sept. 1, 7:30 p.m. – An abandoned vehicle was reported on East Schrag Road in Ritzville.
Sept. 2, 8:43 p.m. - A Washtucna complainant contacted dispatch to report their neighbor was placing items in a building on North Main Street. Deputy Garcia responded to the area and found no criminal activity.
Sept. 3, 10:33 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a porcupine in the road at East Lind-Ralston and North Paha roads. Deputy Jeff Lane removed the porcupine.
Sept. 3, 8:04 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant contacted dispatch to report littering at East Sutton Road. Complainant said there were cigarette butts at the location.
Sept. 4, 10:46 a.m. – A Hatton complainant advised of hearing a loud explosion across the street from Cherry Street. Complainant checked outside after the explosion and could not find the source. They were advised to notify law enforcement immediately after the incident occurs.
Sept. 5, 12:42 a.m. – Deputy Klewin assisted Ritzville Police with contacting a subject who was sleeping in an abandoned shed on the 200 block of North Adams Street.
Sept. 5, 1:26 p.m. – A Lind complainant wanted the Sheriff’s Office to be aware they are missing a cat trap from behind the historical building in town. Deputy Ned Bernath called complainant who advised they don’t know when it disappeared nor are there any suspects.
Sept. 6, 12:00 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of gravel from a passing vehicle hit their vehicle at East Rosenoff and North Paha-Packard roads. Deputy Bernath did not find any vehicles in the area.
Sept. 7, 8:43 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of two dogs running near North Paha-Packard and East Rehn roads. Deputy Bernath checked the area and the dogs were no longer in the area.
Sept. 8, 3:22 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of suspicious people on the 2000 block of North Durry Road.
