FIRST PASSENGERS. Austin Kragt and former librarian Marge Dyke were the first official passengers of the new elevator at the East Adams Library District building on Sept. 2. Dyke said even before the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), “We dreamed of how the building could accommodate people so everyone could have access to the library.” She thanked Library Director Kylie Fullmer, the staff, board and volunteers for making this dream a reality. -Journal photo by Katelin Davidson
