July 31, 9:19 a.m. – A stolen vehicle was reported on East Sackman Road..

July 31, 10:06 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant said he saw three male subjects walking from Gun Club Road toward the Texaco Gas Station. After finding out there was a brush fire in the area, the complainants thought it was suspicious they were walking in the area.

Aug. 1, 8:08 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised his coworker found a baggy possibly filled with narcotics. Sergeant Tomas Solano contacted the complainant and left a voicemail.

Aug. 1, 8:32 a.m. – Undersheriff Aldolfo Coronado requested a law incident for narcotics on East Gering Road.

Aug. 1, 8:42 a.m. – A Lind complainant advised farm equipment was prowled and two sets of keys were stolen on West Roloff and North Lobe roads.

Aug. 1, 12:11 p.m. – A Lind complainant wanted to report their semi-truck was stuck in a ditch on North Wahl Road under the Interstate 90 overpass. The complainant had a tow truck heading that way and wanted to make the Sheriff’s Office aware of the situation.

Aug. 1, 5:29 p.m. – Deputy Jeff Lane assisted at a fire at East Hatton and South Wahl roads. Lane stayed at the scene until he was relieved by the fire departments.

Aug. 1, 5:33 p.m. – A Lind complainant advised of a semi-wheat truck traveling between 75-80 mph south on Highway 21 from the elevators south if I-90 through the town of Lind and continuing further south. Complainant believes the truck was traveling to the river to unload. Complainant further advised the truck was driving down the middle of the roadway about 80 percent of the time. Washington State Patrol was also advised of the situation.

Aug. 1, 8:35 p.m. – A Lind complainant on East Third Street requested a standby to ensure the peace. When Deputy Lane made contact, they stated they no longer believed the standby was needed. Lane advised them to call the Sheriff’s Office if there were any more problems.

Aug.1, 8:47 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence on East Rosenoff Road. The vehicle was removed the next day.

Aug. 2, 11:39 p.m. – Deputy Lane assisted the Soap Lake Police Department in locating and arresting a subject at First Avenue and Clark Street.

Aug. 3, 5:00 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a Suburban parked in the area of North Wills Road. Washington State Patrol checked the vehicle as Sheriff’s Office deputies were on another call.

Aug. 3, 3:06 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant on North Rand Lane was concerned their child’s former partner left and was in Oregon. Complainant believes the subject is not a capable parent and was concerned for the grandchildren. Deputy Hunter Klewin told complainant to request a welfare check from the local agencies in Oregon. Complainant wanted information on the parental rights their child had. Klewin told complainant to speak to an attorney about child custody issues.

Aug. 3, 10:59 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant advised of lights on in a house on South Church Street. The subject who owns the house lives in Ritzville with their partner. Deputy Klewin checked the shop and basement doors and they were unlocked. Klewin attempted to contact the homeowner and the number was no longer in service.

Aug. 4, 8:52 a.m. – An abandoned vehicle was reported on East Lind-Ralston Road.

Aug. 4, 9:39 a.m. – Vehicle theft was reported at West Leisle and North Kulm roads. A service trailer, a 150-gallon fuel tank, air compressor, black steel job box and other items were taken. Detective Blake Hampton and Deputy Joe Phillips were contacted about a suspicious trailer parked on a gravel road in Southeast Grant County. Hampton requested Grant County Sheriff’s Office to make contact with the trailer and retrieve it. The trailer owner was given the number to contact Grant County to make arrangements to retrieve their property.

Aug. 4, 11:37 a.m. – An Odessa complainant who received a phone call from an unknown number contacted Deputy Klewin. The complainant hung up before the caller could ask any questions and did not divulge any information.

Aug. 4, 4:01 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant advised they have an ongoing issue with a subject. Recently, the subject was following them and throwing rocks as they was walking on South Main Street. The complainant said they will try and work things out, but they wanted to make law enforcement aware of the situation before it escalates.

Aug. 4, 5:13 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant on East Lind-Ralston Road advised their child damaged their vehicle. While investigating the incident, a second complainant advised the subject threw a rock through the window of a combine. The second victim suffered cuts to their arm from the broken glass.

Aug. 5, 3:56 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant advised of possible damages to electrical components on a building on South Main Street. The complainant said they will have a contractor check if there was damage to the electrical system.

Aug. 5, 8:13 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised they heard three shots in the area of East Roloff and North Richards roads. Deputy Klewin was on another call and unable to respond. There were no further reports of gunshots in the area.

Aug. 6, 12:14 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a possible underage party involving alcohol and marijuana on East Schoessler Road. Deputy Klewin contacted the two subjects and one of the parents and advised of the situations where it was legal for minors to consume alcohol at home.

Aug. 7, 1:12 a.m. – Deputy Klewin assisted Ritzville Police on an alarm and building search on Smitty’s Boulevard.

Aug. 7, 12:49 p.m. – Complainant advised they received a call from the IRS advising they had a warrant for arrest. They called the number and a male subject advised they would be arrested if they did not pay the money to take care of the warrant. Once told this was a common scam, they said they did not provide the caller with they information. Dispatch advised not to answer any phone numbers they don’t know.

Aug. 7, 5:16 p.m. – A Lind complainant advised a Town of Lind vehicle was parked, partially blocking the road on East Fifth and North S streets. Complainant believed it was an attempt to slow down wheat trucks in the area. The parked vehicle was not a hazard to traffic.

Aug. 7, 11:36 p.m. – Deputy Klewin responded to a train versus vehicle collision. The driver was passed out in the vehicle and struck by a train at low speed. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol/intoxicating drugs.

Aug. 8, 1:38 p.m. – An animal problem was reported on North Benzel and East Wellsandt roads.

Aug. 8, 10:59 p.m. – Dispatch advised of a subject with a medical condition on Bronson Street in Hanson. Deputy Darryl Barnes responded and assisting in helping the medical units with stabilizing the subject.

Aug. 9, 11:00 a.m. – A Lind complainant advised of a black Honda parked in the middle of the roadway on West Lind-Warden and North Roxboro roads. The complainant advised the driver appeared to be sleeping.

Aug. 9, 3:42 p.m. – A semi-truck was struck on South Dewald and East Foley roads. The driver was able to free himself prior to Deputy Ned Bernath arriving to the scene. When the caller first called in, it was unknown if this was a collision or not.

Aug. 10, 10:23 p.m. – Deputy Phillips responded to East Main Avenue to assist the Ritzville Police Department on a drunken disorderly call. When Phillips arrived, Ritzville officers had already spoken to the subject.

Aug. 11, 7:24 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle on North Horseshoe Lake Road.

Aug. 11, 7:48 a.m. – Deputy Bernath responded to a one-vehicle rollover collision with two occupants on East Danekas and East Wellsandt roads. Both subjects had minor lacerations. The passenger complained of soreness in their back. Both subjects were transported to East Adams Rural Healthcare. Pete’s Garage Towing towed the vehicle.

Aug. 11, 4:05 p.m. – A Lind complainant on East Third Street called to report their partner missed the scheduled meet for the child custody exchange. Deputy Klewin determined this was a civil issue and advised both subjects to contact their attorneys.

Aug. 11, 6:02 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised they were in a collision while parked at Templin’s Country Corner. The truck in front of them rolled back and damaged the hood and brackets underneath the hood of his vehicle. The complainant gave the other driver his insurance and contact information. The complainant wanted the incident documented. Deputy Klewin took photos and gave the complaisant a case number and civil collision report.

Aug. 12, 12:43 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a silver car parked on the railroad approach at Schoessler and Danekas roads. Deputy Klewin was on standby but the call was non-emergent.

Aug. 12, 1:24 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of an alarm at North Longmeier Road. The front door wasn’t latched completely, which set off the alarm when the homeowner left.

Aug. 12, 11:06 p.m. – An animal problem was reported on Apple Alley Lane in Hatton.

Aug. 12, 11:09 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant contacted dispatch to report people screaming at each other on North Main Street. Deputy Juan Garcia traveled to the area and contacted the listed subject. The subject stated there was no one yelling. Garcia did not locate any loud noises.
