Lind community events slated

The Lind community is gearing up for multiple upcoming events, including the annual Picnic in the Park and Vacation Bible School.

Picnic in the Park is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, at the Lind Town Park.

The Lind Community Church sponsors the event, and free hot dogs, watermelon, chips and cold drinks will be provided.

During the event, musical performances by Rod Dennis and Axe of Mercy will occur. The event is free and open to the public.

The Lind Community Church is also sponsoring Vacation Bible School, with this year’s theme focused on “God’s Story.”

Vacation Bible School runs from 9 a.m. until noon on July 24-28 at the Lind Community Church.

The church is located at 114 East Fifth Street.
