Robert Edwin VanVleet

Robert Edwin VanVleet was born March 24, 1949, in Ritzville and died May 7 at his home in Ritzville.

Robert was the second youngest of six sons born to Guy and Catherine Louise Principato VanVleet.

After finishing his education in Ritzville, he joined the Peace Corps in Indiana. He later worked in Seattle for Locke Shipyard as a welder.

He returned to Ritzville and cooked for Templin’s Country Corner, retiring after 20 years.

Robert is survived by his mother, Louise, his daughter, Laura Marie, and his brothers: Dale, Ronnie, Nathan and Terry.
