LOCAL HEROES. On Friday, April 28, Ritzville Volunteer Firefighters David Breazeale and Robert Dew were honored at the Eagles Lodge for saving the life of Randy Shimek from a structure fire on the morning of Nov. 10. Those who attended the event had the opportunity to enjoy a baked potato bar and celebrate the firefighter’s heroic efforts. The proceeds from the meal and a raffle were donated to the Ritzville Volunteer Fire Department for a total of $1,481.
