Lind Alumni Banquet May 6

Members of the Lind Alumni Association have announced the annual Lind Alumni Banquet is being held Saturday, May 6, at the Lind-Ritzville Middle School gymnasium, formerly Lind High School.

Photos of the honored classes will be taken by The Journal and are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.

It is requested members of the honored classes be present at that time to be included in the photos.

Individuals in the honored classes interested in purchasing photos are asked to bring payment and completed order forms.

The order forms will be available at the banquet, and questions can be directed to Katelin Davidson at The Journal, by calling 659-1020.

The honored classes are: 1957—Gordon Anderson*, Karol (Christensen) Johnson, Jerry Compton*, Garry Ellis*, Carol (Fode) Benzel*, Beverly (Haase) Townsend, Howard Heil*, Marjorie (Huse) Miles, Gary Jaynes, Gilbert Kanzler, DeWayne Klemmer*, Gary Lobe, Kenneth Olmstead, Joyce (Wells) Skabak* and Phyllis (Zarndt) Heil.

The 1967 class members are Nancy (Bauman) Wilkinson*, Douglas Borth, Darrel Brown, Wayne Chandler, Frances DeVore, Lona Rae (Schumaker) Royer, Cheryl (Fode) McMahon, Gloria (Hays) Fode*, Delwin Franz, Timothy Fritchle, Richard Kulm*, Mike Mann, Kenneth R. Marie, Marty Taft, Jana (Thompson) McDonald, Jacque (Thorne) Laird and Sandi (Williams) Welsh.

The Class of 1992 members are Marc Bauman, Christi Doyl, Lori Hardman, Ryan Hollenbeck, Jeff Jantz, Veronica Keltz, Matt Kulm, Troy Panter, Junior Reyes, Tim Rott, Jody (Sherwood) Wood, Jolene Starring, Megan Undeberg, Darci (Wahl) Counsell.

Members from the Class of 1997 are Scott Ashe, Stacey Camyn, Artie Clark, Craig Cooper, Breanne (Davis) Williamson, Jared Wells-Dutton, Andy Fichtenberg, Greg Janik, Omar Montejano, Shaunna Rasmussen, Amy Reid, Keith Sackmann, Jason Sanger, Nicole (Snead) Umamshah, Jamie Vienhage, Andrew Wahl and Megan Wills.

The honored students from the Class of 2007 are Shaun Bell, Ty Bruegeman, Cody Chamberlain, Maria (Conner) Greenwalt, Chase Davey, Jon Donaldson, Zach Gardner, Jamie (Helms) Spangle, Rachael Hubbard, Jarek Jenkins, Emily (Kulm) Zwainz, Millicent Rios, Ky Lee Schmunk, Karina Silva, Vidi Silva, Kiely (Strohmaier) Kiehn, Ty Strohmaier, Tyskanay (Stubbs) Schofield and Justin Whitney. The banquet and dinner begin at 6:30 p.m. with a meal provided by Memories Diner and reservations must have been made, at the cost of $22.50 per person.

A limited number of seats are available at the door the night of the event.

The master of ceremonies for the banquet is former Lind High School graduate, Myra (Parish) Horton. Class of 1959 graduate Richard Littlebear will be the guest speaker.

Former Lind graduate, Bill Pond, is leading the invocation.

The Virginia Moorman Moore scholarship and the Lind Alumni scholarship are both being presented during the banquet to current graduating seniors.

All scholarships are awarded to students who reside within the boundaries of the Lind School District.

Alumni who are interested in donating to the scholarship fund are asked to send donations to the Lind Alumni Association.
