GOING FOR THE GOLD

MEDAL WINNERS. While hundreds of athletes crossed the finish line on Saturday, April 29, at the Undeberg Invite, there was not a race as memorable as the first 100-meter dash ran by Manuel Santana from Ritzville and Issac Erickson from Colfax. The two students had a triumphant finish as they crossed the finish line while fans and teams cheered them on. The two boys received medals for their participation in the annual Ritzville track meet, and they also had the opportunity to compete in their own heat of the shot put. -Journal photo by Katelin Davidson
