Lind Alumni Banquet set for Saturday, May 6

Members of the Lind Alumni Association have announced the annual Lind Alumni Banquet is being held on Saturday, May 6, at the Lind-Ritzville Middle School gymnasium, formerly Lind High School.

Photos of the honored classes will be taken by The Journal and are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.

It is requested members of the honored classes be present at that time to be included in the photos.

The honored classes at the banquet are the classes of 1957, 1967, 1977, 1987, 1992, 1997 and 2007.

Individuals in the honored classes interested in purchasing photos are asked to bring payment and completed order forms. The order forms will also be available at the banquet, and questions can be directed to Katelin Davidson at The Journal, by calling 659-1020.

The banquet and dinner begin at 6:30 p.m. with a meal provided by Memories Diner.

Reservations must be made by Saturday, April 29, at the cost of $22.50 per person. A limited amount of seats are available at the door, but not guaranteed.

The master of ceremonies for the banquet is former Lind High School graduate, Myra (Parish) Horton.

Class of 1959 graduate Richard Littlebear will be the guest speaker. Former Lind graduate, Bill Pond, is leading the invocation.

The Virginia Moorman Moore scholarship and the Lind Alumni scholarship are both being presented during the banquet to current graduating seniors.

All scholarships are awarded to students who reside within the boundaries of the Lind School District.

Alumni who are interested in donating to the scholarship fund are asked to send donations to the Lind Alumni Association.
