GUMBALL RALLY. With one of the largest turnouts in history, nearly 40 vehicles of varying age and color joined in the Gumball Rally, which left from Ritzville City Park on the morning of Sunday, April 23. The large group enjoyed a day of driving nearly 200 miles through Eastern Washington. The 12th Annual Gumball Rally was deemed a success because of the large turnout. The Gumball Rally is a guided tour of antique and collector vehicles, across rolling wheat fields scenic byways and peaceful flats. This year’s drive took the group through multiple towns, including Washtucna, Starbuck and LaCrosse. For the lunch break, the group stopped at the Pataha Flour Mill, located between Clarkston and Pomeroy. Along the way, the group participates in raffle and quiz games. The annual event is hosted by the Ritzville Classic Car Club. -Journal photo by Katelin Davidson
