LRS women’s track team places in the top 10 at local meets

The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos competed in the NE 1B/2B League Meet at Colfax on April 11. The Broncos were led by the women’s team, who scored 45.5 points and earned a seventh place finish.

Junior Rachel Schell helped secure points for the Broncos with a first and second place finish in the sprints. Felicia Ziemer netted a third place finish in the 400-meter race to earn points for the team as well.

The Broncos then traveled to the Van Kuren Invite on April 15 at Cheney High School.

The women’s team continued to find success on the track and in the field, earning a 10th place finish with 30 points.

Schell continued to rack up points for the team, as she secured first place in the 100-meter race. Kiel also earned points for the team individually, as she placed second in the high jump competition.
