Area churches announce Easter services

In honor of the Easter Holiday, area churches are hosting special services.

The New Hope Center will have their Resurrection Sunday Service on Sunday, April 16, at 10:30 a.m.

The Lind Community Church will have a Good Friday Prayer Gathering starting at 5 p.m. on April 14 through Saturday, April 15. The church’s Easter service will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

The Benge Community Church is having an Easter Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. at the Hill of Three Crosses on Mack Road in Benge and the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints will meet on Easter Sunday at 10 a.m.

Zion Philadelphia United Church of Christ is having a Maundy Thursday service on April 13 at 7 p.m. Their Easter service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The Holy Week schedule for St. Agnes Catholic Church is as follows. Holy Thursday on April 13 will consist of Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 5:15 p.m.

The Celebration of the Lord’s Passion will be on Good Friday at 5:15 p.m. and the Easter Vigil will be on Saturday, April 15 at 8:15 p.m.

There will be no service on Easter Sunday in Ritzville for St. Agnes Church. There will be Easter morning Mass at St. Joseph in Odessa at 8 a.m.

Holy Week for Good Hope Lutheran Church in Lind will begin with Good Friday Service on April 14 at 6:30 p.m. Easter Sunday service will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The Ritzville Nazarene Church will have Easter Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. beginning with morning worship at the Ritzville City Park.

Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the celebration.

In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held at the church. There will be no Sunday School on April 16.
