THE WASHTUCNA School District is the latest receipient from Caring Neighbors. The nonprofit organization donated $500 to the school’s reading program. Caring Neighbors, a nonprofit entity established by Big Bend Electric Cooperative, recently donated $500 to the Washtucna School District Reading Program.
The Reading Program is designed to help promote independent reading by immersing each student in books.
This is the 25th consecutive year that this program has been in place at the local school district.
Big Bend Electric Co-op members have donated funds for Caring Neighbors.
