USDA announces new initiative for small scale cattle producers

Adams County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director, CED Chris Holt announced the Small Livestock Grazing Operation initiative for the Conservation Reserve Program Grasslands (CRPG) that targets small-scale cattle producers.

The well-known Conservation Reserve Program has been offered for over 30 years through the FSA, and is designed to establish and maintain long-term resource conserving vegetative species, to control erosion, improve water quality, and enhance wildlife habitat.
