Ritzville City Council approves tax, fee schedule for 2017

The Ritzville City Council discussed the changes and modifications to the 2017 Fee Schedule at their meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Clerk/Treasurer Kris Robbins presented Ordinance No. 2101 pertaining to Ad Valorem Taxes upon property in 2017. The ordinance states the Council has determined it necessary to increase the current property tax by 100.1 percent from 2016 to be included in the 2017 budget for the general operations of the city as required by state law.

The levy will be in affect for the fiscal year Jan. 1, 2017, through Dec. 31. The Council motioned to approve the ordinance.
