HAY BALE CONTEST

HAY BALE CONTEST. The Lind Area Chamber of Commerce held their annual hay bale decoration contest throughout the month of October. Participants received free hay bales from the Chamber for decorating upon request. Chamber member Cheryl Haase reported 17 residents participated including some local businesses. Three members of the Chamber judged the decorations and named the top three winners on Oct. 27. First place went to Barbara DeVore for her display pictured above. In second place was Jaime Schmunk and third place went to Bratt Haase. The bales will be donated to the Lind Community Garden to be used for mulch.
