Flag football comes to Ritzville

Teams from across Eastern Washington are traveling to Ritzville on Saturday, Oct. 22, to participate in a flag football tournament.

Jimmie Snider Field is split into three sections, and the tournament begins at 9 a.m. with the youngest participants.

Two Lind-Ritzville teams in the kindergarten to first grade age bracket take the field at 9 a.m. to begin the event.

On Field Two is Travis Glissen’s team versus Reardan and Gardner’s team is on Field Three against Wilbur.

At 10 a.m., the kindergarten and first grade teams continue play. Adam Krause’s team faces Davenport on Field One, while Glissen’s team takes on Harrington on Field Three.

Three Lind-Ritzville second and third grade teams take the field at 11 a.m. Mark Gibler’s team plays Reardan on Field One, while Aaron Esser’s team faces Davenport on Field Two and Troy Ryan’s team takes on Wilbur on Field Three.

At noon, Kristian Boness’ second and third grade team takes on Davenport on Field Three.

The fourth and fifth grade teams take the field at 1 p.m. and again at 2 p.m.

At 1 p.m., DJ Williamson’s team plays Odessa on Field Two and Jack Klein’s team faces Reardan on Field Three.

At 2 p.m., Mark Cameron’s team takes Field Two to play Davenport, while Gary Kelly’s team faces Wilbur on Field Three.

The final games of the day are Daniel Galbreath’s sixth grade team who plays Odessa at 3 p.m. on Field One and Davenport at 4 p.m. on Field One.
