Welcoming new teachers to local schools: Lind School District - Marie Borth

A Lind-Ritzville High School alumnus Marie Borth has been hired as the new Special Education Para-Professional for the Lind-Ritzville Middle School. Growing up in Ritzville, she is familiar with the small town atmosphere and enjoys the community pride both Lind and Ritzville provide.

Borth is currently participating in Western Governors University’s online courses in order to receive a teaching degree. Prior to WGU, she attended Big Bend Community College and Eastern Washington University.

She is married to Brandon Borth and together they have three children, Claire, Grace and Zach. Borth is the owner of Classy Country Catering said she spends her free time managing her business and assisting at the local coffee stand, Brew Happy.

Prior to being hired on full-time, Borth assisted the middle school by filling in as a substitute when needed. She expressed her excitement for being involved in the Lind-Ritzville Middle School’s positive atmosphere as a full-time employee.

Her focus this year is to help the middle school students in as many ways as possible in order to achieve academic success. Improving student’s confidence and mental strength is what Borth is most looking forward to this year.
